"The Super Bowl Problem!" is the 579th episode of SML Movies. It also marks the final episode of SML Movies using Nintendo plushies due to the cease and desist letter Logan received from Nintendo.

Synopsis[]

There is a huge problem! Chef Pee Pee has accidentally knocked out Tom Brady! He needs Mario and Rosalina's help to fix this problem!

Plot[]

Chef Pee Pee makes Macaroni and Cheese, with Carrots and Peas in it. Junior asks Chef Pee Pee to help open his Go-Gurt, but Chef Pee Pee says no and tells him that he needs to eat his dinner first. Junior starts to complain, and then Chef Pee Pee threatens to kill Junior with a rolling pin. The doorbell suddenly rings and Junior goes to answer it. Tom Brady was at the door because his truck broke down and he lost his phone, so Junior invites him inside. Junior tries to tell Chef Pee Pee about Tom, but Chef Pee Pee is angered because he told Junior to be quiet. Chef Pee Pee throws a rolling pin at Junior, but accidentally knocks out Tom Brady instead. Chef Pee Pee and Junior then try to see if Tom is okay, but he won’t wake up. Chef Pee Pee asks Junior to help him, but Junior refuses to for Chef Pee Pee not helping with the Go-Gurt and trying to kill him with a rolling pin.

Chef Pee Pee asks Mario and Rosalina for help, but they have no idea. Mario suggests that Chef Pee Pee disguises himself as Tom Brady, but Chef Pee Pee says no, as he doesn’t know how to play Football. Rosalina tells Mario that she has an ex-boyfriend who played Football in High School and calls him. Her ex, Big Dak, arrives and it is revealed that he hasn’t played in 20 years and wasn’t very good at it at the time. Mario takes Dak for a test to see if he’s still good at it. During the Test, Dak completely misses every shot and tries 5 times to succeed, but fails each time.

They decide to call Brooklyn T. Guy to help them with the situation. They suggest that Brooklyn Guy disguises himself as Tom Brady and plays in the Super Bowl. Mario takes Brooklyn Guy for a test and he succeeds. They try to get Tom’s uniform until they realize that Tom Brady came out of his concussion. They send Tom to play in the Super Bowl, hoping for him to win.

Trivia[]

  • This is the last SML video to ever use the plushies before permanently switching to the human puppets, due to Logan receiving a cease and desist letter from Nintendo shortly after this video.
    • The status and whereabouts of the Nintendo plushies after this video remain unknown.
    • As of 2024, it is confirmed that Logan still has the plushies offscreen since he can't show any of his plushies in his videos nor vlogs.
  • This is the first video of the series to revolve around the Super Bowl since "Super Bowl Commercials" all the way back in 2015.
  • This episode was uploaded 1 year after "Jeffy's New Dad!", and 2 years after "Jeffy's Drone!".
  • This is the fourth video of 2021 to contain cuss words, as Chef Pee Pee said "ass" twice, which could possibly lead to demonetization or age restriction. Likely the former.
  • This is the final appearance of Bowser Junior, Mario and Rosalina as plushies due to the cease and desist letter Logan received from Nintendo.
    • Though it's a minor appearance, Mario and Bowser Junior's plush finally reappears 3 years later in the background of "Summer School! Part 2". It's unknown if this was was an intentional Easter Egg for fans or was unintentional.
    • Rosalina's plush also reappears in the BTS 1 of "Summer School! Part 2".
  • This video reveals that Rosalina has at least six ex-boyfriends.
  • This is one of the very rare videos since Jeffy's introduction to feature both Mario and Rosalina without Jeffy.
  • This is the third time one of Rosalina's ex-boyfriends comes to the house.
  • Counting Bully Bill's human appearance in "Jeffy's Anger Management!", this is the only episode in February 2021 to not show any of the human puppets.
  • The scene with Junior and Chef Pee Pee talking about peas is a callback to "Jeffy's New Shoes!", since in both scenes, both Junior and Jeffy mistake peas for boogers, and when Chef Pee Pee and Mario, respectively, told them that they are not boogers, they are peas, and Jeffy and Junior mistake them for pee.
  • It could be possible that Chef Pee Pee was also worried about going to jail for trying to hit Junior with the rolling pin, if he was found innocent of hitting Tom Brady with the rolling pin.
  • The penis jokes Dak makes with his name in this video resemble, and are a nod to, the ones Bowser makes as his younger self going by the same name in “Fountain of Youth!”.

References[]

  • The part where Dak says “Get ready to suck some Dak” is a reference to the Family Guy Star Wars episode, “Something, Something, Dark Side”.
  • This video is based on the Super Bowl LV and possibly when the Chiefs assistant coach of the team Kansas City Chiefs (which will be a team in the Super Bowl) pickup truck broke down because of a car accident with two children.

Errors[]

SuperBowlProblemReflection
SuperBowlProblemRodFall
  • During the scene(s) at the balcony, the crew members can be seen in the reflection of the windows in the background.
  • At 1:41, Chef Pee Pee's arm falls off the rod that controls it.
  • Tom Brady says he drives a truck, but it's not true in real life. Tom Brady actually drives an Aston Martin.
  • The new thumbnail takes place at daytime but the old thumbnail takes place at nighttime. This is most likely due to Logan not being able to get the original photo in the remake.
