"The Funeral!" is the 697th episode of SML Movies and is the April Fools special of Season 14.
Synopsis[]
Brooklyn Guy’s mom isn’t alive anymore!
Plot[]
The video starts off with Barbara on the couch trying to reach the remote, but she couldn't. She tried calling Jonathan, but he doesn't respond, so she tries to call him using Siri on her phone, but she accidentally called Brooklyn Guy instead. So, she goes to Jonathan’s room where Jonathan appears to be on his computer, watching something that makes her collapse and have a heart attack. He calls Brooklyn Guy, and he tells him to take her to the hospital.
At the hospital, Barbara flatlines and Jonathan is devastated. Karen advises Brooklyn to go to her funeral. He selfishly refuses at first, but he ended up going.
The funeral appeared to be open casket and Jonathan gave her one last kiss. Steve Staleburger opens the funeral and tells Karen and Brooklyn to say their final goodbyes. Jonathan was first, but was interrupted by Tyrone to deliver food for Brooklyn. Jonathan then sings Amazing Grace but Brooklyn’s loud food chewing interrupted him once again and concludes by giving one last hug to Barbara, however he took her corpse out of the casket.
Brooklyn Guy was next, and he ate French fries, but they were cold, so he calls Barbara out and was glad to get rid of her. Next was Barbara's ex-lover, Simmons, and he talks about how he first met her while responding to a disturbance call about how she was stealing cigarettes from a gas station. He said that he arrested her, but he took her home and booked her instead. Steve then gathers them to the burial.
Brooklyn Guy tries to calm Jonathan down and orders him to let Steve lower the casket, but the latter stubbornly refuses before arguing with him about how Barbara treated him badly, but stops after Karen tells him he could get ice cream. Steve then sings "Amazing Grace" (the song Jonathan sung earlier) but the casket accidentally drops, which makes Jonathan even more upset.
Goodman then arrives and goes over Barbara's will. It then turns out that Barbara was pulling an April Fools prank because she wanted to see who cared for her the most, which was Jonathan. The video ends with Barbara inviting Jonathan to rub her bunions and Brooklyn angrily calling it "a colossal waste of time".

Trivia[]
- This is the first episode of April 2022.
- This episode was uploaded a year after "Cody's Prank!", four years after "Jeffy's BIG Easter!", five years after "Jeffy's Fun Day!", six years after "Bowser Junior Orders a Pizza!", twelve years after "Black Yoshi April Fools" and on April Fools' Day.
- This episode doesn't contain any of the redesigned puppets.
- This is also the first April Fools' special to not have any Nintendo characters.
- This is Barbara's first appearance in 2022, and her first appearance since "Brooklyn Guy The Rapper!".
- This episode reveals Ms. Guy's real name is Barbara Guy.
- It is mentioned that Barbara is survived by her two sons Brooklyn Guy and Jonathan; however, this is not entirely correct as Brooklyn Guy has many other brothers such as Does Bad Things Guy and Doctor Me.
- That being said, it should be noted that since Does Bad Things Guy is deceased, there is no way he could "survive" Barbara, justifying his exclusion from the will and service speech.
- Barbara’s age is first mentioned in this episode, when Jonathan and Steve state that she died "Too soon" Brooklyn Guy states "She was 75 and her lungs looked like raisins".
References[]
- Simmons quotes a lyric from the Usher song "Yeah!", "She's a lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets." in reference to Ms. Guy. This marks the second time the song is referenced in an episode, the first being "Jeffy's Punishment!".
- Jonathan references "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees.
Errors[]
- In the description, "Guy" in Brooklyn Guy's name is lowercase.
