Synopsis[]
Junior and his friends are going to summer school again!
Plot[]
Junior, Cody, Joseph, and their classmates from kindergarten all gloom about having to attend summer school the entire summer. Mrs. Fitzpatrick protests against having to teach other students not from her class, but Principal Steinbeck mandates her to teach the class. Reluctantly, she starts the class with celebrating Flag Day for Juneteenth and assigns everyone to make their own flag.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick finds Patrick's flag to be controversial, Bully's flag to be threatening, Freddy's flag to be disgusting, and Annabelle's flag to be weird. She misinterprets Cody's flag to be a rainbow despite his paper being a pride flag. Mikey just drew a picture of him and his abusive drunk dad, Junior's flag is rated by her to be the best out of everyone, and Joseph just drew the American flag, but he replaced all the white colors with black due to him being racist over the color white. Mrs. Fitzpatrick notices an empty desk where one of the students was supposed to be. She calls in Principal Steinbeck who enters the classroom and blows a whistle. Ms. Fitzpatrick tells him that the missing student is none other than Jeffy. Among hearing this, Steinbeck angrily leaves the classroom.
At home, Marvin, Rose and Jeffy prepare to go to Hawaii for their vacation. But before they can leave for the airport, Steinbeck breaks into the house and calls Jeffy's name. He tells Marvin and Rose that Jeffy was trying to commit truancy. Steinbeck takes a look at Jeffy's report card and tells Marvin that Jeffy obviously replaced all his F's with A's by using a crayon. At first Marvin didn't believe Principal Steinbeck, but after taking a good hard look at the piece of paper he then becomes hopping mad at Jeffy. Rose becomes worried about missing their vacation, but Marvin tells her that they have to cancel their trip. Steinbeck angrily chokes Jeffy, kidnaps him and throws him towards the empty desk. Steinbeck then threatens to kill any future student who tries to escape class. Junior reflects on the rather easy first day, as he and his friends beat up Mikey for throwing crayons at them.
