Bruce "LongShlong" Simmons is a recurring character in the SML series. He is a colorblind police officer who is the partner and friend of Brooklyn T. Guy. Simmons is a retired robber as in his early appearances he would tag along Brooklyn Guy robbing houses and stores. Later on, Simmons would quit robbing houses and become a police officer to oppose robbing. He and Brooklyn Guy would guide through various police operations across the state together. He tagged along in "Black Yoshi's Koolaid Problem!" to find the FBI's most wanted man the Kool-Aid Man.
Personality[]
Simmons is a chill, calm and sometimes immature policeman. He however sometimes takes his job more serious than Brooklyn Guy as shown in "No Nut November!", where he attempted to go after the local kidnapper but was stopped by Brooklyn Guy because it was donut time. He was also shown to be a sexist in "The Taser Problem!" where he planned to get Rose fired because he thinks girls can't be police officer's all because he wanted Brooklyn Guy to be his Partner.

- Although fans claim that Simmons is Australian, it is proven he may actually be British (Cockney) or British-Australian instead, because in "Home Alone", he said the watch cost 5000 British pounds. However, it is possible that he merely traveled/moved to Britain (long) enough to use their currency in large amounts but in "Jeffy Catches A Predator!", he tells Marvin that he's from Sydney, Australia. This is likely a script error.
- In "The Pizza Delivery!", it was revealed that Simmons was Brooklyn T. Guy's partner for 13 years.
- It's possible that he and some other characters are immortal since they are revived many times.
- According to Logan, Simmons’ first name is Bruce. He is likely named after the shark with the same name from Finding Nemo, whose voice is similar.
- He doesn't actually have LongShlong in his name, Barbara Guy just calls him that.
- Simmons' catchphrase is "Ah, mate," since he is an Australian stereotype.
- Due to having multiple jobs just like Brooklyn T. Guy, he is often used as an alternative character in his place for times when Pablo isn't available to film.
- He and The Money Thief use the same robber puppets.
- He was shot by Mr. Meaner in "The Police Dog!" but it was revealed he was shot by a nerf bullet and was playing dead like Officer Cuddlesworth.
- In "Jeffy's Forest Fire!", it is shown that Simmons is 47 years old, 2 feet and 11 inches tall, and weighs 25 pounds, however his height and weight is most likely a joke given his puppet size.
- In "Boys Night Out!", it is mentioned that he's color blind after he thought Brooklyn Guy asked Simmons what the color of the mat was, and Simmons said red.
- In "The Taser Problem!" people claimed that Simmons had became a sexist ever since planned to get Rose fired.
