SML Remakes was a series of remade SML videos released previously, created and developed by Logan Thirtyacre. These remakes are an entirely different design using the human puppets and minor changes, due to the cease and desist letter from Nintendo. But this excludes “SUPER MARIO GOT MILK” and “Toad's Mistake!” as they were made to celebrate the original videos, along with "The Koopalings!" which was made to replace the original video. All remakes are not canon to the main SML timeline and only take place around the original video’s time.
In August 2022, Logan announced that the remakes would be phased out, due to reuploads of the originals making them redundant and time-wasting. However, the same month, he said they will be coming back in a vlog because of the impending return of classic characters, like Black Yoshi (now "It’s Ya Boy Duggie), Shrek, Woody, etc. in puppet forms.
However, ever since the announcement in 2022, no new remakes have been released and there weren't any updates about them, meaning the SML Remakes are officially phased out. Characters such as Shrek and Woody remain in their original forms, instead of human puppets, due to high demand from fans.
