Main

Pink Guards have appeared in a few SML videos, mainly in the Squid Game series. They include Circle Guard, Square Guard, and Triangle Guard. They work for Front Man, helping him run The Squid Games as they are the ones who set up the games for the players to play in The Squid Games, which if a player win, then they get to survive and move on to the next round. However, if a player loses, chooses to not play the game, or cheat, they'll shoot them, thus eliminating that player from The Squid Games.

Personalities[]

Not much is known about the Square Guard's personality. Although it appears that he is loyal to his job, in reality, he wants nothing to do with it, considering when the contestants decided to vote whether to continue or quit playing the games, he agrees with the latter, He also got frustrated when more contestants decided that they wanted to continue playing the games.

Although not much is known about the Triangle Guard's personality during the first SQUID GAME video (courtesy of the fact he never talks), in the Squid Game 2 miniseries, he is presented as a very stupid individual, always replacing certain words with homophones or just misspelling words. An example is when both Rose and Barbara got eliminated and he kept mistaking the word eliminated with others such as intimidated or lemonade, even with Brooklyn Guy continuously trying to correct him. His stupidity is due to the fact that he was dropped on his head when he was a kid. Although it is unknown whether the Triangle Guard from the first SQUID GAME video is the same guy in the Squid Game 2 miniseries. However, it is likely that the Triangle Guard in the Squid Game 2 miniseries and the Triangle Guard in The SQUID GAME Meal! are not the same person as the Triangle Guard there appears to be very cunning and had a chilling voice as opposed to being stupid in every way possible.

The Circle Guard is the only female guard of the trio of Pink Guards in the Squid Game 2 miniseries. She is also seen as the angriest of the trio, considering how frustrated she can be every time somebody doesn't get the rules to the games. During half of the Squid Game 2 miniseries, she is seen having a huge grudge against Brooklyn Guy, seeing how she gets frustrated when he doesn't know how the Marble game works (to the point where she was tempting to shoot him), annoying when Brooklyn Guy couldn't hear her from the other side of the Glass Bridge (to the point where she even wished death on him) and shooting Brooklyn Guy during Squid (game) when he said she was annoying and hoped she wasn't the guard in the next Squid Games. She is also not a very big fan of Chef Pee Pee, considering Chef Pee Pee tried flirting with her while it was supposed to be his bedtime, prompting her to shoot him. In the Squid Game 3 miniseries, the Circle Guard is a male guard who has a cartoony voice.

Trivia[]

  • The Circle Guard is the only member of the trio of guards featured in the Squid Game 2 miniseries to be a female.
    • She is also the only member of the trio to have a different voice as both the Square and Triangle Guards were voice by Will Townsend.
    • She is also the only one of the three to not die at any point of the Squid Game 2 miniseries as the Square Guard was killed by the Front Man after letting Brooklyn Guy pass the Cookie Time game when he broke his cookie and the Triangle Guard fell into the acid during the Tug-o-War game after Player 001 decided to bail out due to the fact he can't trust Hansel.
  • The Circle Guard is most likely inspired by the character Kang No-Eul, a character who made her debut in the second season of Squid Game and was the only female in the series to have confirmed to take up a Pink Guard uniform.
  • The symbols on their masks represent different ranks, with Circle being Worker, Square being Manager, and Triangle being Soldier.
