"Joseph's New Shell!" also known as "Joseph's New Shirt!" is the 506th episode of SML Movies.
Synopsis[]
Joseph gets a new shell!
Plot[]
The episode starts out with Joseph and Junior at a skatepark with Joseph exclaiming that the skateboard tricks he would always do were easy due to him being called Joseph Hawk. After speaking with Junior, Joseph decides to go do some tricks and Bowser Junior tries the tricks only for him to fail. Joseph seeing this tells him that it happens to everyone who sucks.
When Joseph falls off the rail, he tries to prove himself that he's the best skater by doing the hardest trick in which 3 people tried it and 299 people dying from attempting the trick. When Joseph attempts the trick, he ultimately fails and breaks his shell. Then he asks to go to the hospital while Bowser Junior asks him if he has health insurance to which Joseph replies that he is poor.
They go to Bowser Junior's house, and Bowser Junior ignores Joseph while he is in pain. Bowser Junior asks Joseph if he wants a Cheeto, but Joseph asks for a doctor to which Bowser Junior does via FaceTime. Bowser Junior wonders if he can ask a few questions about his friend and he decides to asks them with the doctor's permission.
So Bowser Junior explains the situation and asks Joseph if it hurts, to which he responds with yes. Bowser Junior gets to the main question in which he asks the doctor if he can fix him. The doctor responds with yes, only if he has health insurance.
But Bowser Junior remembering that Joseph doesn't have health insurance says no and offers Cheetos as an alternative payment, but Brooklyn T. Guy declines due to the fact that Bowser Junior doesn't have Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Before leaving the call, Bowser Junior is told he can find a good doctor on Craigslist in which it does not require health insurance. After searching on Craigslist, Bowser Junior finds a doctor who's actually a clown.
Eventually, Bowser Junior introduces the doctor and tells him he is paid in Cheetos unlike the other doctors. Screwball brings in the shell which is made out of a balloon. Joseph then tells him it doesn't fit and that he needs an actual shell.
Joseph hating his new shell tells Bowser Junior he'll do anything for a new shell in which Craig the Devil appears. Bowser Junior then asks what Joseph needs to do for a shell and the devil responds with that. he needs to give him his soul for it, with Joseph giving away his soul. Craig then asks what type of shell he would like and Joseph quickly realizes that he can customize it.
Joseph tells the devil what he would like a new red shell with wings on it and is given a new shell, with the devil leaving. Joseph then quickly turns into a bully and befriends some new people who turn out to be bullies. Afterwards, Bowser Junior FaceTime Cody to tell how mean Joseph is, while explaining how he got the new shell.
Bowser Junior then keeps talking with Cody until Joseph arrives. He then introduces his new friends and Joseph and his friends start a fight to which it ends with Bowser Junior getting beaten up by Joseph and his new friends. When the fight ends, Bowser Junior sees that Cody has gone to the bathroom and after Bowser Junior asking why he wasn't helped by Cody, he tells Bowser Junior to break Joseph's shell to make him not cool.
We cut over to Bowser Junior who has finished a birdhouse to use as part of the plan to break Joseph's shell. Bowser Junior then sees Joseph and his new friends who are playing Bowser Junior's playroom, Bowser Junior chats with Joseph and gets to the main point, which is him telling him that he made an apology gift for being jealous of his new shell. Eventually when Joseph sees that his new gift is a house he is happy and says that he and Bowser Junior are now best friends.
Joseph says that his other friends only liked him for his shell. The two reunite and Bowser Junior is relieved that he doesn't have to hangout with Cody. The video ends with Cody saying he never hung up.

- In the BTS, Logan revealed that he had the idea of this video for five years.
- In addition, he revealed that he might keep the red shell on Joseph for a couple of video ideas if Wendy did a good job sowing the red shell onto Joseph.
- Lance played Craig and Bully Bill in this video, due to Chris/Pablo being in quarantine around the time of this video.
- Lance would play Bully Bill again in "Jeffy the Monkey!", likely due to Chris/Pablo being unavailable for the video.
- This is also the reason why Cody and Brooklyn T. Guy have only appeared via FaceTime recently.
- Additionally, this can also be seen as to why Brooklyn T. Guy can't fix or change Joseph's shell.
- Joseph's new shell is from a Koopa Paratroopa plush.
- This is Craig's and Goomba's first appearances in 2020, and on SuperBowserLogan.
- The fourth wall was broken twice in this video.
- Cody breaks the fourth wall by mentioning the camera facing the couch.
- Junior breaks the fourth wall by stating that Joseph isn’t really flying and the hand (Lovell) was just hovering him into the air.
- In the scene where Junior was talking to Brooklyn T. Guy via FaceTime, the camera is flipped front so it won't show Logan and Lovell's faces.
- It is revealed that Joseph changed his last name from "Hawk" to "HisFriendFromSchool" to get more friends. But considering that he does this for attention, it's possible that he was lying.
- Instead of using a Goomba plush, Goomba is a puppet. This puppet was one of several Goomba puppets Logan ordered in January 2019. He received them along with several Bowser Junior, Bowser, and Piranha Plant puppets. The Piranha Plant was later used in "The Science Fair!" to portray Petey.
- This was the last video to use Joseph's green shell until "Jeffy and Junior Sneak To Disney World!"
- This episode was uploaded five years after "Bowser Junior's 1st Grade! Part 4", and six years after "Bowser's Soup."
- This was the last SML video to be posted on FaceBook before Logan stopped using Facebook.
- The new thumbnail shows a Joseph puppet that does not exist yet.
- Logan said in a SML reaction, he had the idea to make Joseph have a red shell.
Errors[]
- Joseph does not know who Screwball is despite him being his guardian for a long time (ever since "The Call of Duty Blackout").
- Similarly, Junior doesn't seem to recognize Bully Bill despite bullying him in "Bowser Junior Learns Karate!" and being in his class since the start of 2nd grade. It's possible that he wasn't expecting to see Joseph hang out with him.
- When Junior brings Joseph out of the playroom, Goombz says "Okay" with Bully Bill's voice.
- In the old thumbnail, it says "Joseph's New Shell!". But on the new thumbnail, it says "Joseph's New Shirt!" with the Youtube title staying the same.
