"Jeffy Gets a Job!" is the 389th episode of SML Movies.

Both this video and the BTS for this video were deleted by Logan Thirtyacre due to having received an email from Jimmy John's requesting the videos to be deleted because Logan had used their name without their permission, as revealed in a Chilly video, despite the fact that the owner of the store let the crew film there. However on November 9, 2018, the video was undeleted.

Synopsis

Jeffy wants the new Fortnite battle pass, so he has to get a job to be able to buy it!

Plot

The video starts with Mario on the red couch, as always. Jeffy enters and asks Mario for his credit card so that Jeffy can buy the new Fortnite battle pass. After back and forth arguing between the two, Mario suggests that Jeffy should get a job so that he doesn't have to use Mario's credit card everytime he wants something.

Mario drives Jeffy to Jimmy John's and tells him that all he has to do is make sandwiches. The video cuts to the Brooklyn Guy counting the money in the cash register, before exclaiming that five dollars are missing. After seeing the five dollar bill in one of his employee's, Savannah's apron, he asks another employee named Tommy if he knows who took it. Tommy points to Savannah, just before Brooklyn Guy fires him saying that they don't hire snitches.

As Tommy angrily leaves, Jeffy enters and says hi to the Brooklyn Guy. He then realizes that he is the person looking for a job, and shows him how to make a sandwich, the soda dispenser, and the cash register. He shows Jeffy the workers. Screwball goes to place an order with everything in it.

The first job at making the order doesn't go smoothly though, as Jeffy slaps many of the ingredients in the bread. Vegetables, meat (even the paper) are tossed aimlessly before Jeffy slides the sandwich to Savannah who is not paying attention causing it to slip off the table and the latter to walk off.

Brooklyn Guy decides that Jeffy should work at the cash register, after a successful order, things start to fail as Hansel comes in and places an order. Jeffy, obliviously gives Hansel his order, unaware that the former did not pay. Brooklyn Guy at first congratulates Jeffy but when he looks the register and notices that there is supposed to be a lot more money, he is shocked that Jeffy gave the sandwiches to the customer on the house.

This becomes a problem, because not long after, Goodman comes in, revealing to be the manager. He reveals that the SUV camera (with audio) showed footage of Jeffy giving free food and Brooklyn Guy speaking. Not only that, but Goodman then later shows he had fired Savannah for multiple acts of stealing much to Brooklyn Guy's dismay.

And to top it all off, Goodman docks Brooklyn Guy's pay and fires and unfazed Jeffy who leaves. Goodman grabs a bag of potato chips (an interpretation of Brooklyn Guy's balls) and squeezes it until it pops.

Later at the house, Jeffy tells Mario he got fired for giving away free sandwiches. Mario logically tells Jeffy that a business is supposed to have products paid for, that's when Jeffy pulls out a 20 dollar bill, saying he stole it.

Mario berates Jeffy and confiscates the money where he leaves to return it, unbeknownst to Jeffy who had stashed a backup bill who then leaves to purchase the Battle Pass.

Characters

Trivia

  • This is Screwball's first appearance in 2018.
  • On July 19, 2018, Logan was forced to take the video (and the associated behind-the-scenes video) down due to receiving an email of Jimmy John's threatening to sue Logan for trademark infringement, despite the fact that the owner of the store let the crew film there. Logan has said that he will re-upload the video on SuperMarioLogan 2 with the Jimmy John's logo blurred out and all mentions of the name being censored, however since Logan doesn't have the channel anymore and gave it back to JJ, it probably won't be uploaded again.
  • Logan undeleted and reuploaded the video on November 9, 2018. However, the Behind the scenes video has yet to be reuploaded by Chilly (although some else reuploaded it.).
  • This is another one of few episodes in which Cody appears without Bowser Junior and Joseph.
  • It is also the first time Jeffy and one of Junior's friends appear without Junior himself in a Jeffy video.
  • Jeffy makes the same “Rimjob” joke that was made twice before in "Jeffy The Rapper!" and "Jeffy's Taco Tuesday!", where he thinks a Rimjob means cleaning the rims on cars. In actuality, a Rimjob is a slang term for the act of licking another person's anus.
  • The order Hansel had was similar to the GTASA meme, where Big Smoke orders a huge order.
  • This video was uploaded 1 year after "Jeffy Gets Bullied!".
  • This is the first time we see Goodman threaten testicular violence against someone other than Mario.
  • This is one of the few times that Jeffy showed his smart side by knowing how to make a sandwich and knowing how to order food. Contrary to this, however, his stupid side was equally exposed when he forgot to charge customers for the sandwiches.
  • This is one of the very few times where Brooklyn T Guy and Goodman don't get along with each other.
  • This is the first time ever where Jeffy gets and works at a job.
  • The actors from Jimmy Johns have instagram accounts:
  • https://www.instagram.com/bethanyfaucett_/
  • Jeffy did not say anything in rage like, "Are you fucking high?!" after Goodman fired him. This possibly shows that while he snaps at people regularly, knowing from watching Goodman bully Mario that yelling at him would cause more problems.
    • This episode reveals that Goodman has a great-grandfather, Jimmy John Goodman but, has never been shown in an episode. However, later in The Watch!, he mentions that he died by drowning in money, so it's possible that he was referring to him.

Errors

  • Realistically, in the United States, it is not possible to work while being 13 years old.
  • Jeffy states the Season 5 Battle Pass in Fortnite is $20.00, however, every BattlePass costs 950 V-Bucks and 1,000 V-Bucks costs $9.99.
