Synopsis[]
Mario has to teach Jeffy how to do homework!
Plot[]
The story begins with Rosalina begging Mario if they can have a Star Wars movie marathon which is eleven movies. Rosalina starts listing all the movies and Mario decides to just watch it but he can't guarantee her that he will stay awake during all of them. They begin the first movie when Jeffy starts using his cat piano which instantly annoys Mario and tells him to knock it off. He then starts saying meow with his mouth, Mario yells at him to stop him which only makes Jeffy start using the cat piano again. Rosalina wants Mario to turn up the movie, Rosalina starts complaining that it's too loud but it's not for Mario because he can still hear Jeffy. Someone rings the doorbell and Jeffy requests to answer the door but Mario just lets him use his cat piano while he goes to answer the door.
Mr. Goodman is at the door who is the superintendent of the local school district and he came to congratulate Mario on adopting Jeffy. Mario interrupts him by saying that he didn't adopt Jeffy that he is his legal guardian until his mom comes back. Mr. Goodman explains that since Mario is Jeffy's legal guardian, he has to teach Jeffy the requirements for school and he will come back tomorrow to test him on it. Mario asks what happens if he refuses, Goodman states that Mario will go to jail for neglect, he then gives him the paper and leaves.
Mario comes back to the couch with a gun asking Rosalina to shoot him in the head. Rosalina asks what's wrong, Mario shows her the paper meaning that they have to teach him his ABC's, count to 10, Math-English and at least one sport. Rosalina asks what's so wrong about that and then sees Jeffy using his cat piano with his pencil. Mario really wants Rosalina to shoot him in the head. Rosalina decides to help Mario. They ask Jeffy if he is ready to learn his ABC's. Jeffy thought Rosalina and Mario was talking about his favorite animals and calls a carrot an animal.
Mario demands Rosalina to shoot him in the head but Rosalina decides to teach him anyways, they show him cards with the ABC's. He screams when he sees the bear on the card. Mario tries to tell him that it's not a real bear but Jeffy continues to scream. They show him a dog card but Jeffy starts screaming. He continues to scream when they continue to show him animal cards even with an igloo. Mario asks Rosalina to get him the whiteboard to teach Jeffy the ABC's. Rosalina gets the whiteboard with the ABC's and asks Jeffy to repeat after her. Mario decides that it's gonna take too long and Mario will sing Jeffy the ABC's song. After he was done singing, Mario asks him to say his ABC's on his own.
Jeffy then sings the ABC's backwards leaving Mario in shock. He asks Jeffy how he did that but Jeffy doesn't reply and starts smacking his diaper. Mario then decides that the first part was easy and asks Rosalina to get him the cues cards to let Jeffy know how to count to 10. Rosalina shows him the first card but Jeffy adds in the train as if it was a number. After Mario corrects him, he does it again but says the "I" as 1. They show him the next one but he continues to add the objects in as they were numbers. Rosalina says that Jeffy is doing well. Rosalina shows him a 5 cats on a card and he uses his cat piano to count the cats. Mario tells him to put the cat piano away. As Jeffy is continuing to add the objects as numbers, Mario is starting to get annoyed.
Rosalina wants Jeffy to do one more but Mario tells them that we are done. Rosalina then decides to continue to show him more cards up to 50, a annoyed Mario asking God for suicide. Mario starts crying when Jeffy finally finishes. Mario wants Jeffy to count to 10 but Jeffy starts singing his ABC's. Mario decides to skip English and start Math because Jeffy speaks english. They pull out math cards to teach Jeffy. They asks him what 2+2 is but Jeffy incorrectly says that it's 74 and that he pulled it out of his ass. They ask him again but Jeffy says it's baby 2. Mario asks him to explain and Jeffy explains that first 2 and the second 2 love each other very much. Mario tells him that 2+2=4. Jeffy tells him that probably 2 and 2 adopted 4 or 2 is cheating on 2 with 4 or maybe that will be 3.
They ask him what 0+0 is and Jeffy instantly says 2. Mario then asks him that if 2+2=baby 2 but 0+0 isn't baby zero. Jeffy tells him that he doesn't understand. Mario tells him once again that baby zero would actually make sense because 0+0=0. Jeffy starts yelling and says that 8+8=16 and think's it's wrong. Mario tells him that it was 16 but Jeffy starts yelling again. Mario wants Jeffy to tell him how 2+2=baby 2 but 0+0=2. Jeffy tells him that there isn't a heart on the card. Mario tells him that there wasn't a heart on the 2+2 card. Jeffy tells him that if they were to flip 2 and 2 over and put them together, it would be a heart with a line under it. Mario then calls Jeffy and genius and decides to show him subtraction because maybe he will be better at taking things away.
Mario asks him what 8-4 is. Jeffy explains that there is a negative sign next to the 4 so that means that they have to erase the 4 from the problem which leaves 8. Rosalina says that Jeffy has a point. Jeffy starts saying screw everything. Mario gets tired and says Jeffy is right. Mario wants to move onto Art but Rosalina says that they have to go onto English but Mario refuses. They show him a card with a frog on it and they want him to pronounce it but Jeffy says "flog". Mario continually tells him to say "frog" but Jeffy says "fuwoga" twice, Mario breaks character by laughing. Mario then decides to show him another card. Rosalina tells him to say "giraffe" but Jeffy says "gi-da-raff". Mario asks where is the D and Rosalina reply's "that's what she said". Jeffy says "gi-da-raff". Rosalina shows him a yo-yo card but Jeffy says "y y". Mario decides to end English early.
Jeffy says he's coloring a bug and Mario is actually for once impressed because Jeffy colored it right and even in the lines. A relieved Mario says that all they have to do is teach him one sport. Rosalina offers to teach him baseball but Mario declines because baseball is too dangerous and wants to teach him t-ball instead. They tell him to hit the ball with a bat but Jeffy starts hitting the floor. They get him a bigger bat and Jeffy hits Mario instead of the ball. Rosalina apologizes and asks if the swelling gone bad, Mario says that his brain is damaged but he doesn't care. Mr. Goodman returns to the door and sees the bruise on Mario's face. Mr. Goodman comes up to tell him that Jeffy failed his test. Mr. Goodman shows Mario one of Jeffy's answers and says that Jeffy was correct saying 8-4=8. Mr. Goodman then decides to give Jeffy a degree and creates a math law called "Jeffy's law". Mario is confused and Mr. Goodman then shoots Mario on request, thus ending the video.
Characters[]
Differences from the original[]
- The text in the thumbnail was handwritten with chalk, unlike the original, where it's just plain text.
- In the original video, Mario and Rosalina said that they were going to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens on DVD, but in the remake, they say the entire series (including Solo and Rogue One) instead.
- Mario is referred to as “Marvin”, despite retaining his original name in the previous video. He is called Mario again in "The Hypnosis Ray!".
- In the original video, Mario tells Jeffy he was going to put him in time out for interrupting him & Rosalina while they were watching the movie; but in the remake, he just tells Jeffy he's grounded.
- Mr. Goodman didn’t give a reason why Mario would get arrested (child neglect) if Jeffy ends up failing the test.
- The remake is shorter by 2 minutes and 44 seconds.
- Mr. Goodman was wearing his black elephant a**hole suit instead of his blue suit.
- Aside from one instance of Jeffy saying "a**", all the profanity is removed in the remake.
- 8-4=8[1] and 0+0=2[2] are swapped during the math segment.
- Rosalina makes a “That’s what she said!” joke during the English/Phonics lesson, unlike the original.
- Mr. Goodman mentions Jeffy going to Harvard, unlike in the original video.
- Mr. Goodman shot Mario with a gun instead of Mario himself, unlike the original.
- The gun itself is also a Nerf gun rather than a realistic one to keep the video "family-friendly".
- Because using a real life gun in a video can be threatening and violent.
- In the original, the Alphabet Flashcard for "I" is for Ice Cream. In the remake, the flash card is for Igloo.
- When Marvin finishes the Alphabet Song by saying "...and Z.", he instead sings it.
- Jeffy sings the alphabet backwards, instead of saying it.
- In the original, the "8" cue card has markers on it, whereas in the remake, it has crayons. Additionally, the "11" cue card in the original has turtles on it, whereas in the remake, it has rabbits. The "10" cue card also has tractors on it instead of bulldozers.
- In the original, when Jeffy was counting the strawberries, he inhaled multiple times, but in the remake he only inhaled once.
- Jeffy cusses out Einstein and Newton instead of Eisenhower.
- Jeffy doesn't refer to the cue cards as "the cucumbers".
- Jeffy colors a butterfly, unlike in the original, where he colors a spider.
- In the original, Jeffy erroneously pronounces "yo-yo" as "y", whereas here, he pronounces it as "y-y"
- Jeffy says "f-wo-g" more than once in the remake, and pronounces "gidaraffe" faster every time.
Trivia[]
- This remake was uploaded seven years after the American Wii U release of Wario Land 4, and eleven years after "Shrek's Nightmare".
- This is one of the few episodes that Goodman comes to Marvin's house but doesn't ask for his house payment.
- This is because he didn't do that in the original video.
- Mario is referred to as “Marvin”, while Rosalina is never addressed by name in this video.
- However, the name changes might only be exclusive to the remakes, as "Jeffy's Good Day" uses their original names.
- This is later proven false as they have returned to the name changes in "Jeffy's Whistle!".
- However, the name changes might only be exclusive to the remakes, as "Jeffy's Good Day" uses their original names.
- Jeffy's original thumbnail pose from the original version is used. This is also the first time since "Jeffy's Bad Word!" that his original thumbnail pose is used.
- This is most likely because the thumbnail was done by RadSMLThumbnails via Instagram, which could've meant Logan not using the pose if he got the chance to do the thumbnail himself.
Errors[]
- At 12:43, 12:50, and 13:04, Logan Thirtyacre can be heard laughing in the remake.
- At 15:04, when Rosalina says "Here you go, Jeffy", her mouth does not open.
