"Detective Jeffy!" is the 488th episode of SML Movies.
Synopsis[]
When Mario gets accused of robbing a restaurant, Jeffy has to become a detective and prove him innocent!
Plot[]
The video starts with Mario calling Jeffy for dinner, then Jeffy comes out with a nerf tennis ball blaster. Jeffy asks what's for dinner. Mario says green beans and Jeffy shoots Mario with a tennis ball. Mario asks what Jeffy wants, and Jeffy says he wants a sandwich.
They go to Footlong Bangers. While they order a sandwich, a robber wearing a ski mask and has a bag with a dollar sign on it. He shoots the cashier with the same tennis ball blaster Jeffy had and steals all of the money. Mario and Jeffy run, but Mario's hat falls on the counter.
They go home and Mario is about to call the cops before they hear a doorbell. It's police officer Brooklyn T. Guy. He arrests Mario and Mario calls his lawyer, Goodman, who tells him to lie about the case. They go to court and Goodman says he was on the beach in The Bahamas drinking fruity drinks from some dude named Pepito and immediately asks for Mario to have a punishment. He goes to jail.
Right After Mario gets Arrested, Jeffy starts smacking his diaper some more. Brooklyn Guy tells Jeffy the sad news that his dad is in jail. Jeffy laughs. Brooklyn Guy then tells Jeffy that he will have to go to a foster home. Jeffy doesn't like this. He then decides to be a detective. He goes back to Footlong Bangers, the scene of the crime. He takes money out of the cash register and finds orange hair. He tastes it and somehow knows that it belongs to a clown.
Jeffy sets up a fake birthday for himself. Brooklyn Guy asks about it and Jeffy says that clowns always show up to birthday parties. Screwball shows up with. He then slowly reveals his clues. First, he reveals a ski mask, then a money bag, then mentions he shot a lady with a tennis gun, then admits he robbed a sandwich shop. With each clue, Brooklyn Guy says "HMM" that gets longer and intensifies each time. Brooklyn Guy asks if Screwball was at a sandwich shop and Screwball denies it. Jeffy asks Screwball what he was doing earlier, and Screwball once again admits to robbing a sandwich shop. Brooklyn Guy arrests Screwball and frees Mario.
Then, for a while, Jeffy and Brooklyn Guy repeat tongue twisters over and over before explaining to Mario what happened. Then Brooklyn Guy makes a joke (as usual) about clowns, He then attempts to make a burden joke and gets his doctor outfit, but the two had left, much to his disappointment, Mario says bye to him, Brooklyn Guy then quickly tries to make a joke only for Mario to slam the door on his face, ending the video.

- The title and the thumbnail are somewhat misleading since Jeffy becomes a detective late into the video.
- In the trial scene, Judge Strongbottom sentences Mario to federal prison, yet robbing a sandwich shop is not a federal crime.
- The SML question starts with "Have you ever got" when it should be "Have you ever gotten".
- Brooklyn T. Guy says that Jeffy can't stay home all alone, but there are other residents at the house, such as Bowser Junior, Chef Pee Pee, Bowser, Woody, Black Yoshi, and Shrek, so Jeffy doesn't have to go into foster care.
- This video was shot at nighttime. But at the court, The King says, "Let's break for early lunch?" maybe that was his lunch time.
