Chives is the private butler for Mr. Goodman's family, working mostly under Mr. Goodman and Richard Goodman. He temporarily worked for Joseph in Joseph The Millionaire! before being fired.
Chives acts like a stereotypical butler who is always mistreated by his spoiled and hypocritical boss, but still does whatever he wants. He mainly refers to people as "Sir".
In earlier videos, he was just mentioned. He was first mentioned by Richard in Bowser Junior's Playtime 6. He made his first physical appearance in Joseph the Millionaire!, where he was temporarily a private butler for Joseph, which he was being mistreated by Joseph before Joseph fires him for not saving him when Joseph was faking, being choked by his Fruit by the Foot to see if he would save him. He is currently the butler for the Goodman family.
Several months later, Chives appears in Richard's Mistake!, where Richard blames Chives for causing the dent that is on Goodman's BMW. He forces Chives to call Goodman, which he holds a Nerf gun to Chieves head to make Chives go along with his plan to make him cover for him. After that, Goodman comes in angry, telling Chives to get ready for his spankings with his Lucky Tennis racket, but Junior tells him that Richard is lying, and that he's the one who deserves the spankings, angering Goodman, and tell Chives to get the paddle as he tells Richard that he's going to teach his "little hiney" a lesson eventually spanking him instead.
Three months later after appearing in Richard's Mistake!, he makes a cameo in Jeffy the Boxer! as one of the people that Jeffy punched to try to fight Floyd Mayweather.
Mr. Goodman paid Chives' entire family to not talk to or contact him again though it is highly likely that he also had a mother and father that had long died prior to the events of SML possibly due to old age, given that Chives is older himself.
Personality[]
Chives is loyal and polite to a fault. However, he is long-suffering and depressive. This is likely in part of Joseph and Goodman's abusive and disparaging behavior towards him even though Chives has done things Joseph and Goodman wanted him to exactly do. Chives is also shown to be very spiteful and hateful towards Joseph, as he allowed him to "choke" on a Fruit by the Foot. Despite his melancholy, he is still able to feel great joy such as when Joseph fired him, due to constant mistreatment from Joseph, and when Goodman tells him to get the paddle to spank Richard. He keeps thinking of retiring, but Goodman would play whatever he needs. Because of the latter's ability to afford a butler Chives simply cannot quit hit duties because he takes what Goodman pays him and has to deal with his ruthless behavior similar to Chef Pee Pee with Braxton.

- He was originally only mentioned by Goodman's family for about a year before finally making a physical appearance in “Joseph the Millionaire!”.
- It was revealed in Jeffy's Butler Part 2 that Mr. Goodman paid his family 20 million dollars to never contact him again.
- He slightly resembles Statler from The Muppets.
- Chives’ name is possibly a reference to Drake and Josh.
- Chives was named and designed after Chives from the Scooby-Doo Mysteries book "Scooby-Doo! and the Haunted Castle".
- He is similar to Chef Pee Pee as they both want to quit working and they both hate their bosses.
- He and Chives from Inanimate Insanity have some similarities to each other.
- They are both male.
- They are both British.

- He is most likely not from America as it is shown in "Joseph the Millionaire" that he uses the metric system instead of the imperial system.
- Chives also speaks with a British accent, even though just like Harry, he also pronounces some words the American way, [Notably the word Can't], most likely due to Lance not knowing how to pronounce some words in a British accent.
- His appearance is similar to the 46th US president Joe Biden.
- The British accent that Chives speaks in is a Posh English accent. Other British characters like Harry and Simmons speak in Cockney accents.
- His puppet has been used in Titototter.
- In "Mr. Hoodman!", it is revealed that Chives was (questionably) born in London, the United Kingdom's capital city.
- In "Jeffy's Butler Part 2", he quits being Goodman's butler and starts working for Marvin but does come back after Goodman promises to pay him, and now he gets paid $5 an hour, half of what Patricia is paid.
