Synopsis

Brooklyn Guy can't lie anymore!

Plot

The episode starts with Karen reminding Brooklyn Guy that today is Penelope's birthday. Brooklyn Guy thinks she’s wrong until Penelope comes in to ask what they’re gonna do for her birthday. Brooklyn guy now realizing his mistake rushes to Walmart to get Penelope’s birthday cake.

15-20 minutes later, Brooklyn Guy comes back with the cake, lying he got it from the fridge, not only incorrectly spelling Penelope’s name, but also not getting the correct amount of candles for the cake, denying that he forgot her age. Penelope, realizing that Brooklyn Guy is lying, and forgot her birthday, made her wish to be so that Brooklyn Guy can’t lie for a whole day. Brooklyn Guy then admits that Penelope’s wish was stupid since she knows he’s a liar since she knows he got the cake last minute due to forgetting today is her birthday. After saying that, Brooklyn Guy is both shocked and confused as to why he was unable to lie. Penelope then asks if Brooklyn Guy got her any presents for her birthday, to which Brooklyn Guy admits he didn’t because he’s a cheapskate and that her cake is her present. Brooklyn Guy, once again surprise from what he just said goes to his bedroom.

Brooklyn Guy, now in his room, once again questions why he is unable to lie. Karen comes in soon after asking why Brooklyn Guy would say those things to Penelope. Brooklyn Guy explains that he doesn’t know and feels like he’s unable to lie. Karen, thinking that Brooklyn Guy is stressed out suggests they “fool around”. Brooklyn Guy declines and says that he’s not attracted to her, which shocks Karen. Brooklyn Guy tries to defuse the situation, but due to his inability to lie, only makes things worse by saying that he thinks about other women that are hotter than Karen, specifically the waitress at a taco bell drive through. Brooklyn Guy, realizing how much trouble he caused, states he’s going to work at the hospital early, leaving Karen heartbroken.

Brooklyn Guy arrives at the emergency room, Nurse Jackie is operating on Luke. Jackie questions why Brooklyn Guy is in today, and Brooklyn Guy, unable to lie, tells her that it’s due to not having sex with his wife, which causes him to cringe. Trying to change the subject, asks how Luke is doing. Luke is too weak to respond, so Brooklyn Guy aske Jackie, to which she informs him that Luke will die by tomorrow. Luke then asks Brooklyn Guy if he will live long enough to celebrate his birthday which is in 2 days. Brooklyn Guy tells Luke that he’s gonna die tomorrow, which shocks Jackie and questions Brooklyn Guy, where he admits he’s unable to lie. Luke’s Mother then comes in and asks if her son is gonna be okay. Brooklyn Guy breaks the bad news and makes an inappropriate comment and gesture about her breasts, which causes Jackie to kick him out which he obliges. Jackie tries to comfort Luke's Mother, stating they’re doing everything they can to help Luke, which makes Brooklyn Guy to come back in confirming his statement about Luke’s fate and makes an inappropriate request so he can fantasize about her while he’s with his wife. Jackie kicks him out again, where Brooklyn Guy apologizes and leaves.

Brooklyn Guy is outside the ER, insulting himself, again questions why he isn’t able to lie. Jackie comes out questioning Brooklyn Guy’s actions. Brooklyn Guy apologizes and says he doesn’t know why he isn’t able to lie, stating all the inappropriate things he wants to do to Luke’s Mother. Jackie tells him to pull himself together and to make it up to Luke. Brooklyn Guy decides to dress up as spider man for Luke.

Back in the ER, Jackie tells Luke that he has a special visitor for him. Luke asks if it’s a cure for his cancer which Jackie debunks. Soon after Brooklyn Guy comes in dressed up as spider man but declares himself the doctor. Jackie tries to correct him, but Brooklyn Guy says Spiderman isn't real and he’s dressed up as Spider Man because he’s gonna die, then Brooklyn Guy confirms what he said is true by taking his mask off and making another inappropriate comment about his mother, after realizing this, Luke dies. Brooklyn guy apologizes then leaves to do his cop job.

Brooklyn Guy, now in his cop car, decides that being a cop won’t be rough since cops are supposed to tell the truth. Soon after he spots a speeding car and chases after it.

After he pulls the speeder over, Brooklyn Guy confronts the speeder. The driver, Tyrone apologizes to the officer, presumably lying about his wife being at the hospital to explain why he was speeding. Brooklyn Guy doesn’t believe him and asks if Tyrone has any drugs in the car. Tyrone shocked by this, asks Brooklyn Guy if he made that assumption because of his skin color. Brooklyn Guy confirms Tyrone’s suspicions that he is racial profiling and tries to let him off the hook, but Tyrone demands to speak to the chief about this.

At the police station the Chief questions Brooklyn Guy if what happened to be true, which Brooklyn Guy confirms and says he does it all the time. The Chief relieves him of his duties until he can lie again. Brooklyn Guy doesn’t want to since he needs the money for alcohol, so he tries his lawyer job next.

Now at his lawyer job, Brooklyn Guy is interring viewing Screwball about his file saying he’s being trialed due to him attempting to kidnap a girl, which Screwball confirms, making Brooklyn Guy upset knowing the truth and knowing what's gonna happen. Screwball says he wants him to try to win them the case, which makes Brooklyn Guy ask to confirm if he wants him to lie, which Screwball does confirm. Brooklyn Guy says he will do his best and then they go to the courtroom.

At the courtroom Judge Pooby starts the trial and tells Screwball that he’s being accused of an attempted kidnapping of a child and asks how he pleads, to which Screwball says not guilty. Judge Pooby says it seems believable and then asks the victim, Jenny Wabble Knees if Screwball tried to kidnap her. Jenny confirms this but judge Pooby doesn’t believe since she’s a child and because her knees are wobbly. He’s about to declare Screwball innocent until he asks Brooklyn Guy to tell the truth, and Brooklyn Guy confirms that what Screwball did was true. Judge Pooby tells Brooklyn Guy that both he and Screwball will win the case if Brooklyn Guy confirmed Screwball was innocent. Brooklyn guy states that he knows but he tells the Judge the truth, reconfirming himself again after Judge Pooby asks for confirmation. Judge Pooby declares Screwball guilty and sentences him to a year in prison. Screwball is angered that Brooklyn Guy is supposed to lie. Brooklyn Guy says he’s unable to lie and says that Screwball deserves it since he’s a terrible person.

Cutting to the fire station, Brooklyn Guy decides to work at his firefighting job since there’s no reason to lie in this job. Simmons comes rushing in to declare there's a fire and the 2 spring into action.

It cuts to the scene to the fire, where Luke’s Mother is, shouting for help. Just then the two arrive to help. Mrs. Emia says that her house is on fire. Brooklyn Guy and Simmons stare on in shock and horror at the burning house. Mrs. Emia states that her other son is in the burning house and doesn’t want to lose her only remaining son. Brooklyn Guy recognizes her and makes another inappropriate request. Mrs. Emia refuses and tells them to save her son. Brooklyn Guy refuses since he’s scared, he’ll die and both he and Simmons leave, leaving Mrs. Emia’s last son to die.

At Pizza Hut, Brooklyn Guy decides to do his pizza job since he thinks there's no reason to lie in this job, after convincing himself, he takes the pizza out of the over and delivers it to the customer.

At the house, Marvin and Rose are sitting on the couch when Jeffy walks in with his arm over his eyes screaming, thinking that he’s gone blind until Marvin puts his arm down. Rose asks where’s the pizza that Marvin ordered since she’s starving. Marvin said it’ll be here any minute. After Marvin says this, he hears the doorbell ring and thinks it’s the pizza.

At the front door, Marvin greets Brooklyn Guy with their pizza. Brooklyn guy says that he scratched his private area and a few of the pepperonis off the pizza on the way over and says that the pizza will be $20. Marvin gives Brooklyn Guy the money, but Brooklyn guy notices there’s no tip. Marvin says he doesn’t have any tips. This makes Brooklyn Guy angry and vents about his day to him. Marvin, feeling bad, asks if Brooklyn Guy would like to come in, which Brooklyn Guy quickly accepts and thanks him, and they both come inside.

Marvin and Brooklyn Guy both come to the couch and Rose asks why Marvin let Brooklyn Guy into their house. Marvin says that he felt bad for him and wanted to invite him in to eat pizza with them. Rose says they don't have enough pizza to share since Jeffy eats half of the pizza. Brooklyn Guy said its fine from he did and shows where picked off the pepperonis. While showing them he tells them that he spat out a piece back on the pizza, which causes Rose to lose his appetite, but Brooklyn guy said it was okay since he washed himself beforehand. He then apologizes for being overly honest and explains he can't lie today. Marvin tries to test him by telling to say that the blue pen that he got from somewhere in his hand is red. Brooklyn Guy tries to say the pen is red to no avail causing him to have a mental breakdown. Rose then asks when it started happening. Brooklyn guy recounts what happened today and realizes that Penelope wished for this to happen. Wanting to lie now, Brooklyn guy decides to call Penelope to the house, get her a new birthday cake, and have her make another birthday wish to have him turn back to normal.

Sometime later, Penelope arrives asking why Brooklyn Guy called her over to a stranger’s house. Brooklyn Guy says he got her another birthday cake because her wish is ruining his life. Penelope doesn’t remember what she wished for, so Brooklyn Guy explains that the wish made him unable to lie for the day. Penelope now remembering, takes the opportunity to ask Brooklyn Guy if he saved up her college money, which Brooklyn Guy denies and said that he spent it on himself. Penelope then asks if Brooklyn Guy loves her. Brooklyn Guy says that he sometimes does and sometimes regrets having her since she reminds him of Karen. Trying to change the subject, he tries to get her to wish that he can lie again due to needing for his jobs. Penelope seemingly agrees and wished that her father could start lying again, then she blows out the candles. Brooklyn guy tries to see if he could lie by testing it on the pen, but he is still unable to. Penelope admits that she didn’t mean it. After insulting her, Brooklyn Guy relights one of the candles and tells Penelope to mean it this time. Penelope makes the wish again, but Brooklyn Guy is still unable to lie about the pen due to her still not meaning it. Penelope says that he has 3 1/2 hours left of being unable to lie then leaves. Brooklyn guy decides to go home and sleep the rest of the day away and go on to lie to everyone tomorrow, where the episode ends.
