"Black Yoshi's House Arrest!" is the 435th episode of SML Movies.

Plot[]

Mario requests Black Yoshi’s assistance in purchasing a bottle of Pepsi from the gas station. Mario hands Black Yoshi a $5 bill and assures him that he can keep the change. However, Black Yoshi, filled with joy, playfully hands Mario a glass of water cleverly labeled as “Pepsi” with a marker. Frustrated, Mario snatches his $5 back, hoping to buy the soda himself. However, Black Yoshi grabs the dollar back and reluctantly heads to the gas station to buy Mario a real Pepsi. To Mario’s horror, upon returning, Black Yoshi not only brings the soda but a stash of money he had intentionally stolen from the cash register. The situation worsens as Officer Brooklyn Guy arrives and arrests Black Yoshi for theft. In an attempt to avoid jail, Black Yoshi claims he was protecting the money. However, during the court hearing, Judge Goodman finds him guilty and sentences him to house arrest. Ensuring Black Yoshi’s compliance, Officer Brooklyn Guy attaches an Apple Watch to his ankle for tracking purposes. If Black Yoshi violates the terms, he will be sent to prison for five years. Excitedly, Black Yoshi learns about “Free Bucket of Chicken Day” at KFC through a TV commercial. Before heading out, Black Yoshi slyly puts the tracker onto Jeffy. At the same time, while Officer Brooklyn is brushing his teeth, he receives an alarm on his phone, mistakenly assuming it’s Black Yoshi trying to escape for another heist. Bursting into the school without his police uniform, except for his gun, Officer Brooklyn finds himself attacked by Jackie Chu, Jeffy, and other students. Injured and bandaged, Officer Brooklyn engages in a brief argument with the Chief.

Later, after Brooklyn Guy had adorned his uniform and made his way to Mario’s place, he encountered Black Yoshi, who was conspicuously not wearing a tracker. Black Yoshi proceeded to offer an explanation to the police officer, claiming that he had placed the tracker on Jeffy. To validate their suspicions regarding Black Yoshi’s veracity, both Mario and Brooklyn then trailed Jeffy, who wore the tracker, much to Jeffy’s discontent. In due course, Brooklyn pieced together the fact that Black Yoshi had removed the tracker and affixed it to Jeffy’s ankle, so that he could venture outside and enjoy complimentary KFC chicken. Mario proceeded to question Jeffy as to why he had failed to disclose this information earlier. Jeffy explained that it was unnecessary to inform Mario about receiving a birthday present, although Mario reminded him that his birthday was not until August. In an attempt to evade his house arrest, Black Yoshi disguised himself as an anonymous man with fair hair and a mustache, which prompted Mario to admonish him. Black Yoshi employed a bag of tricks and produced a miniature Black Yoshi toy, leading to Brooklyn apprehending the toy. He then expressed gratitude towards Mario for fabricating the truth.

Trivia[]

  • This is one of the rare times that Jeffy appears in a Black Yoshi video.
  • This is the currently the most viewed video with Black Yoshi's name in the title.
  • This is Bowser Junior's tenth appearance in a row.
  • This is the first time ever since "Mario The Babysitter!" that Jeffy pronounces the word giraffe the right way instead of "gi-da-raffe" which led fans to think that Jeffy's grammar would have improved from this episode onwards. However, in "Jeffy's Birthday Trip!", he gets back to pronouncing the word as "Gi-da-raffe".
  • This is the second time that an SML character was on house arrest. The first time was Jeffy in "Jeffy Gets Expelled!".
  • This video marks the second time that the Chief does not punish Brooklyn Guy. The first being "Black Yoshi's Koolaid Problem!".
  • This is Donald Rodriguez's first appearance since "Fountain Of Youth!".
    • It is also his only appearance in 2019, as well as his last to date.
  • When Jackie Chu said "it another crazy white kid with a gun" he might have meant the Columbine school shooting with the two shooters being white and many other shooters.
  • Brooklyn Guy acts more like a real cop than a cop making fun of his wife.
  • This episode was uploaded one year after "Hide and Seek!", two years after "The Golden Egg!", four years after "Bowser's House Fire!", and five years after "Black Yoshi's Koolaid".
  • This is the most viewed non-Jeffy/Junior video on the SuperLuigiLogan channel.
  • Cody has only one line in the episode when he appeared during the school scene. For the rest of the scene, he was silent due to Brooklyn Guy's presence and Pablo not being able to play both characters simultaneously.

Errors[]

  • Towards the beginning of the video, the store clerk said that he was out of one dollar bills. However, as Black Yoshi approaches the cash register, a stack of one dollar bills is shown.
  • The Chief states that Brooklyn Guy is his only officer. However, he forgot about Simmons who is Brooklyn Guy's partner. But it may be possible that he may be absent from work right now.
  • Black Yoshi shouldn't have been able to simply remove his ankle monitor. Ankle monitors are designed to be fashioned tightly so that it is extremely difficult to remove them without breaking the fibers and setting off the alarms. Realistically, he would have at least required a great amount of very powerful lubrication to slide it off of him, not to mention the difficulty of placing it on Jeffy's leg without breaking the fiber. The best way to remove an ankle monitor would be to use sufficient lubrication while wrapping a person's leg around a bag. Afterwards, the bag can be wrapped back around the leg and the ankle monitorput back on again when required.
