"Beary" is Jeffy's teddy bear who appeared in "Jeffy's Teddy Bear!".

Beary used to be Mario’s teddy bear growing up. He would carry him everywhere he go as a little kid, and play with him, such as hide and seek. He was essentially Mario’s best friend.

Eventually, Mario grew out of playing and carrying Beary around, and put him in a box with all of his other childhood toys and preserved it. When Mario went through his childhood toys years later with Jeffy, Jeffy instantly became attached with Beary, and begged Mario to let him keep it. Mario, at first, didn’t want Jeffy to keep it, as he was afraid Jeffy might break or lose a memory of his childhood (given how irresponsible he is sometimes), but because he was too old, he decided to let Jeffy keep it, as long as he didn’t lose him.

When Jeffy got Beary, he took him out to a playground and played Hide and Seek with him. He would also be like Mario, and take him everywhere, including school. While at school, Bully Bill bullied Jeffy for talking to his teddy bear and bringing him to school, as if he was 2 years old. Jeffy gets offended, and then throws Beary to Bully Bill and tells him to beat him up. But because Beary wasn’t alive, he couldn’t beat him up, and Bully Bill ends up punching Beary, leaving Jeffy to cry and beg Jackie Chu to make him stop. Jackie Chu tells Bully Bill to stop, and Bully Bill tells the whole class that Jeffy can’t go to school without bringing his toy, leaving classmates, like Junior and Cody making fun of him and calling him a loser.

Jeffy went home, crying to Mario that people made fun of him at school for talking to Beary at school. Mario says that people think it isn’t normal for him to talk to a stuffed bear, but Jeffy claims he is his best friend. Mario then says that he was made fun of for the same thing as a kid when he carried him to school, and out of desperation for alone time with his old pencil girlfriend, he tells Jeffy to go to bed, even though it was 3:30 in the afternoon. Jeffy then goes to sleep with Beary, wishing he was alive. Apparently, Beary was possessed by a spirit in the night. Then, when Jeffy woke up the bear, Beary was gone. So, he went to school, alone without Beary. During the lesson, Beary unexpectedly showed up and beat up Bully Bill, to which Jackie Chu kicks Jeffy and Beary out of the class. After that, they play together in the park.

But while at the park, Brooklyn T. Guy thought that Beary was attacking and harassing Jeffy (like a real wild bear), so he went and got the report on the news. Brooklyn Guy returns with a gun that looks like a Nerf gun (to avoid demonetization, given the circumstances at the time), and shoots nerf bullets (which acted like actual gun bullets) at Beary. Just as Beary had found Jeffy, Brooklyn Guy shoots Beary twice, with the first time distracting Beary and the second shot killing him. After shooting and killing Beary, Brooklyn T. Guy brings him to the police station, and when he cut him open, he saw the stuffing and realized he had mistaken Beary for an actual bear, thus ruining a child’s (Jeffy) hope and dreams.

Brooklyn T. Guy gives Beary’s corpse to Mario to return to Jeffy as a distant memory. After getting back Beary, Jeffy stated he liked him better when he was alive, but Mario said that teddy bears aren’t supposed to be alive, and he has a bigger teddy bear now, and he go lady down on him. When Jeffy went to sleep, he wished for Beary to be alive again. But fortunately for Jeffy, he came back to life and beat Bully Bill up for a second time.

Trivia[]

  • Beary is very much like Thomas and Ken, with him being a toy that a kid character is attached to (Thomas with Junior, and Ken with Cody).
  • Jeffy gave Beary the same treatment Mario gave to him as a kid, which was playing with him (including Hide and Seek) and carrying him wherever he goes.
  • Cody is shown to be hypocritical to Jeffy with Beary, as he brings Ken to school (though, he claims to others, like Joseph, that he isn’t just a doll).
  • The alive version of Beary is a big stuffed bear, rather than a bear costume.
  • In order for Tito to get inside the bear, Logan had to cut a slit open in the back for Tito to get in.
    • Tito hated doing the scenes where he had to move inside the bear, given that it was hot inside the bear, with lack of air in there.
