Cody's Robot!

Didn't really care to do full reviews of the last few I missed, so I'll just knock them out here.

1: ChicKEN Pox - 4.5/10

A mediocre, poorly assembled video. Not a great start to the year, though there are some great jokes here and there.

2: Cody's Robot - 6.5/10

A decently funny and surprisingly engaging video, though there's a lot of awkward momentum killing cuts in the action (ex; The Miranda Rights song, actually most of the Brooklyn Guy scene) that hamper it a bit.

3: Jeffy The Pool Shark - 7/10

Just a normal good video with funny pool shenanigans. Shoutout Brooklyn Guy and Goodman especially.

4: Sleepy Jeffy - 5/10

Just unremarkable and forgettable.

5: Jeffy Ball Z - 7.5/10

One of the most creative SML videos in a while.

6: Cody's NFT - 6/10

I like how the stupidity of this whole trend is mocked and the weirdness of the plot's latter half (specifically after Cody gets shipped to an insane asylum) appeals to me too. Apart from that, not much to point out.

7: Jeffy Goes To Juvie - 7.5/10

Solid video with spot on jokes, and this is my favorite Brooklyn Guy appearance in a while.

8: The Frog - 7/10

A plot that's so stupid you can't help but laugh at it, and a suspenseful video on top of it.

9: Cody's Gum Problem - 5.5/10

Starts off pretty bad, then actually starts to get pretty funny (though a lot of the gross out still harms the score).

FAVORITE: Jeffy Ball Z and Jeffy Goes To Juvie

LEAST FAVORITE: ChicKEN Pox

OVERALL: 6.28/10 (Decent). Yeah, overall a mixed-positive month for SML. Not everything hit, but the good material was really good and even some of the weaker cuts weren't exactly bad. Not the worst way to start 2022.

POSITIVES:

+I do like the main concept of the video

+Jeffy and Rosalina were tolerable enough

+Them lighting stuff on fire is always cool

+The school scene was a mix of good and bad

+The ending was kinda funny

-Sopeaking of, how fucking convenient of child protective services to show up at that time

-Just an overall meanspirited ass video

At first, this video looked like it could be decent. You can imagine my disappointment (that's what she said)

REVIEW

This is one of the weirdest videos we've gotten in a couple months. I mean that both as a good and bad thing, but mostly good.

For starters, the robot was fairly funny throughout, especially during the school scene. A couple of the jokes didn't quite hit (especially him humping Junior) but for the most part he was a decent antagonist. The video in general was also pretty intense, something I enjoyed a lot, and it mostly keeps that same energy throughout.

I guess in terms of flaws, there are a few jokes that didn't quite land, worst of all being the scene with Brooklyn Guy and Simmons at the front door. I get the joke, but it completely killed the momentum of the video. Same with the "Miranda rights" song.

All in all, pretty decent video. I'd give it a 6.5/10 and a DECENT stamp.

Since this segment actually seemed to interest at least one person, I decided to keep it. Maybe it could even be a regular thing, who knows.

Anyways, the most prominent content in this video was easily the sexual content. Given the whole video centers around Cody and a horny robot made in his likeness, I don't even need to explain. If you know, you know. Some of the non dialouge based sexual content (most especially the scenes where Junior taps the robot's crotch buttons, and the scene where he pulls a battery out Butt Bot's ass) were a little hard to classify so I just decided to slap an S on there to be safe.

Profanity consisted of two uses of "damn" and one of "fucking".

FINAL RATING: TV-14-DLS

High expectations, met.

BEAUTIFUL:

++Cody is awesome in this video!

++And so is Bott Buddy, who is the best part of the video.

GOOD:

+Brooklyn Guy is great.

+Jackie Chu is great.

+Joseph is good,

+Tyrone is good.

+Simmons is good.

+Lots of funny moments.

+The plot/concept is good.

NEUTRAL:

~The Miranda Rights Song is OK.

~Judy is OK.

~Junior is OK.

~Penelope is OK.

BAD:

-The beginning is bland.

Overall, this is a really great Cody video.
