Well, remember when I did a review on ChicKEN Pox? Well, my original review of it was deleted because of the MarioMan43 hack attack.

Anyway, the racist jokes with Joseph is so stupid and annoying and the fact that Cody thinks Ken is cheating on him. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FORESHADOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm giving this a 6.7/10 it's the only one on the list for now!

The worst video of this year is the chicken pox

Reason:

Cody was a pychopath in the video,

i mean he killed junior beacuse of something he didnt do.

And he gets offscot free.

Didn't really care to do full reviews of the last few I missed, so I'll just knock them out here.

1: ChicKEN Pox - 4.5/10

A mediocre, poorly assembled video. Not a great start to the year, though there are some great jokes here and there.

2: Cody's Robot - 6.5/10

A decently funny and surprisingly engaging video, though there's a lot of awkward momentum killing cuts in the action (ex; The Miranda Rights song, actually most of the Brooklyn Guy scene) that hamper it a bit.

3: Jeffy The Pool Shark - 7/10

Just a normal good video with funny pool shenanigans. Shoutout Brooklyn Guy and Goodman especially.

4: Sleepy Jeffy - 5/10

Just unremarkable and forgettable.

5: Jeffy Ball Z - 7.5/10

One of the most creative SML videos in a while.

6: Cody's NFT - 6/10

I like how the stupidity of this whole trend is mocked and the weirdness of the plot's latter half (specifically after Cody gets shipped to an insane asylum) appeals to me too. Apart from that, not much to point out.

7: Jeffy Goes To Juvie - 7.5/10

Solid video with spot on jokes, and this is my favorite Brooklyn Guy appearance in a while.

8: The Frog - 7/10

A plot that's so stupid you can't help but laugh at it, and a suspenseful video on top of it.

9: Cody's Gum Problem - 5.5/10

Starts off pretty bad, then actually starts to get pretty funny (though a lot of the gross out still harms the score).

FAVORITE: Jeffy Ball Z and Jeffy Goes To Juvie

LEAST FAVORITE: ChicKEN Pox

OVERALL: 6.28/10 (Decent). Yeah, overall a mixed-positive month for SML. Not everything hit, but the good material was really good and even some of the weaker cuts weren't exactly bad. Not the worst way to start 2022.

I am a whole two days late but you didn't hear that from me.

REVIEW

So this video is a KEN video. Interesting choice to start off the year. Let's see how it pans out.

Honestly, not well. While there were some solid jokes in there (ex: Most of Junior's lines to Penelope made me chuckle, and I also mostly found Chef Pee Pee and Brooklyn Guy amusing, plus some other jokes here and there), but the main thing that kills the video is that the whole thing is super uncordinated and messy. The whole video feels like it was assembled with little/no care and a lot of the jokes are also pretty terrible (especially Joseph's "RACISM" jokes. Weren't funny then, weren't funny now, never will be).

So all in all, it wasn't an amazing start to the year. I'd give it a 4.5/10 and a MEDIOCRE stamp.

RATING

Now for the next segment. Decided to include something weird this time. I gave fake TV ratings to some SML videos for a "SML on TV" project that never panned out and I decided to do it for this video out of boredom (and also new year, do new things, and a similar post by a different user getting favorable reception may have influenced me too)

Anyways, this video is TV-14-DL to me. D for the suggestive quips throughout (most notably Cody threatening to "whip it out"), and the L is for one use each of "fucking" and "shitshow". Other language consisted of two uses of "screw" and one each of "damn" and "ass".

5/10 A not bad way to start the year

Pros:

• I liked BTG

• The concept was great

• Junior kissing Penelope was a bit funny

• There were funny jokes and momments

Cons:

• The video got boring at some momment

• I felt Cody wasn't his normal self here

• I didn't like all the racism jokes

• The ending didn't satisfy me

Overall, I liked the concept but the way it turned out was disappointing.

Another fairly good year-starter in a row, after Goodman's Revenge.

GOOD:

+Brooklyn Guy is good.

+Chef Pee Pee is good.

+The first half is good.

+Lots of good moments.

+The concept is pretty good and interesting.

NEUTRAL:

~Cody is OK.

~Joseph is tolerable.

~Penelope is OK.

BAD:

-Some filler.

-The racist jokes are bad.

-The second half is bad.

-The ending sucks.

Overall, this is just another decent video, like the last one that is "Brooklyn Guy The Rapper", that could be better.
