Real answer: Because it breaks the status quo, and Logan really hates breaking the status quo unless it benefits him directly (more views, more money, etc.).

Story answer: He's just a lazy asshole. And it's a miracle Goodman's let him keep the house despite the house payments (which, ftr, we don't know how much are owed) piling up.

For that matter, Braxton also doesn't have a job, and his insurance paid for the house, so why is Goodman not harassing him? If anything, he has every legal right to kick both them and their families (also freeloaders) out of the house. Junior, Jeffy, Rose and Duggie are jobless, Pee Pee is unpaid because Braxton's jobless, and Shrek doesn't use his Dreamworks money on anything other than cheesecake, so why not kick them all out?

Will Logan ever decide to give Marvin a permanent job?

I don't think any of the housemates (Pee Pee and Shrek notwithstanding) are ever going to get permanent jobs. Much less Marvin (Hell, Braxton rarely leaves his room and Rose is really only there because she has to be). Logan's allergic to changing the status quo too drastically.

It's why even though Joseph is said to be with the Huckerdoos, we never see him interacting with them. Or how Jeffy got his car back after losing if in Jeffy's Fast and Furious" with zero explanation. Or how Goodman hired Marvin for an office job, brought it back up only one time after. Then all of a sudden Marvin's back on the red couch bitching about not wanting a job he has to work hard at, with again, no explanation why. These were changes in the story Logan either forgot, simply didn't care about or hated so much he reversed those decisions because this show is like the Smpsons. The main characters are always the same but the supporting cast can do whatever. This also has to also be only the reason why Goodman never kicks him or his gaggle of weirdos (aka his family and Braxton's crew) out.

@TheSickSteven Key word, similar, meaning that Logan could create a fictional video game company to have Marvin work at. I never mentioned anything about making Nintendo return to SML.
